I do not even know where to start. I have never seen any company as bad is Trafalgar.
It took me many phone calls to speal to somebody. peple I spoke were very rude. I booke dthe trip on line with them, paying a lot of money. They canceled the trip.
I called again to get a refound or be moved to another trip. We was told that I will be contacted next day. I was not. Nothing that we discused was even mentioned.
The issues was not resolved and I am short of almost $7000 in my account. Still waiting for the manager to call me and ready to call my credit card comapny to deal with these people.sTAY

Verified ReviewerBad experience with vendor
This company stinks from top to bottom. I got scammed by a Trafalgar approved rug dealer and when I tried to get my money back Trafalgar was incalcitrant and downright insulting to my intelligence.
But then Pissed Consumer got involved. My complaint went viral and within a month I got the lions portion of my money back .
Trafalgars parent company became involved and promised I would get the entire amount of my money ($30,000) back but I only got $26,000 , the head office claimed devaluation of US dollar. So after paying an additional $1,200 to ship the useless rugs back, in total Im out approximately $5,000
User's recommendation: Avoid this company and all its subsidiaries under the umbrella of TTC out of Geneva

Verified Reviewer | Elk Grove, CaliforniaResolved: Untimely Refund of Money
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Full refund was finally received after they took more than their "up to 90 days" to do so.
Had to continually go through my AAA rep to get this refund. I will never use Trafalgar again..
I allowed them to keep my money and put it towards another Trafalgar tour. I booked an Iceland tour for August 2022. Through much effort on my part I finally learned in May 2022 that they were cancelling that trip. I immediately requested a refund.
I've yet to get it and now it's almost the end of August. I was promised a refund and that it might take up to 90 days, which is ridiculous. All they had to do was simply issue a check. Colette, a company with integrity which I've used many times, and now will continue to use because of this experience (I will never use Trafalgar again), will immediately refund your money no questions asked and in a timely manner.
Trafalgar has now had about $4,000 of my money for about 2.5 years. While I wasn't happy waiting "up to" 90 days, I did so. It was due at the latest by 8-13. It was not received and today is 8-18.
I contacted AAA through whom I'd booked this Trafalgar tour and learned that Trafalgar had not issued the check and they were now going to do so on a "rush basis" and that I "should" have it by early next week. Trafalgar's behavior is unacceptable and they've forever lost a customer with me.
- Tour itinerary
- Untimely refund of cost of tour
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Trafalgar Travel lacks integrity in refunding customer's money

NFLD beautiful - from bogs, to parks, lakes, ocean, waterfall rocks, trees, rocks and trees.
Tour was to include a visit to St. Pierre, France south of Nfld that is why I booked it.
Arrived evening, checked into hotel, whisked to dinner, sleep then departed at 08:00 - saw nothing.
Bus got lost 3 times and went over hour out of our way. Poor route planned - backtracked hours on bus to return to hotel for the night.
Hotel accommodations in the middle of nowhere - some meals had to be obtained from gas station or small grocery stores.
Travelled hours on bus/coach with few videos, games & singing - rest of time looking at scenery of mostly rocks & trees. Tour guide more interested in next gold tour; health advisor never did covid or temperature checks despite one passenger constantly coughing.
Last minute attempt by tour guide to do video of trip - asked passengers for photos - why not announce at trip start, make a contest, get interest instead of last minute, or, better yet, do it yourself.
Worst trip ever taken.
Best guides were locals - interesting and informative.
Preferred solution: return of tip gratuity $.
User's recommendation: Avoid this trip if you don’t enjoy sitting on a bus for hours on end.

Verified Reviewer | Marlton, New JerseyDissatisfied with aspects of our Iceland trip
1. There was no one to meet us inside the airport when we landed.
We waited. I called the guide. He told us to wait. Someone would be there.
Then he sent a text saying the bus would be there in 5 min. and we should go outside. We did. No bus.
My husband walked around the lot to find out that the GrayLine is not allowed in that lot. He finally found the bus but we had to drag our bags to the bus. No one helped us.
2. There was supposed to be a shuttle to the city (1 mile away).
No bus came. After waiting 30 minutes, we were told no one was going to come and we would have to walk. We did. Then we walked around the city and had to walk back.
Too much walking for us when there was supposed to be a shuttle at least one way.
3. The optional events (a.boat with sushi and b. a dinner ) each was $75/person.If you did not attend those events, there was nothing else to do. If you did not go out on the boat we assume you would just sit on the bus or in a cafe near the boat.
We informed Trafalgar that my husband eats nothing from the water. There was nothing offered to him as an alternative on the boat. The dinner was a glass of wine (my husband doesn't drink,) a bowl of soup, a piece of bread, and a piece of cake with a little ice cream. We were not offered additional soup.
It was 1 bowl of soup. Then we were offered a visit to a small museum. We went in as there was nothing else to do. Our guide informed us that the museum visit made up $22 of the $75 it cost us for the dinner.
Many of us did not go into the museum. We were not told of the fee or given an opportunity to say no to this inadequate museum.
We felt taken advantage of.
3. One of the hotels was below par. Even our guide took note of that.
4.
Our guide was very pleasant but he is not from Iceland and has a superficial knowledge of life in Iceland. For example, we found out that horses are a big industry in Iceland but he knew almost nothing about it. He never discussed the political system there. We have no idea if Iceland elects a president or prime minister or maybe they have a king.
I'm just saying, as well-traveled tourists, we like to know more about how people live. He needs to be better informed or you need to use someone who is a local for these tours
5. The blue lagoon was fun.
two hours worked but here we could have used an opportunity to have a massage or some other services.
Our 6 days in Iceland were more than we needed. It could have been a better planned trip
- No one to meet us at the airport

Verified Reviewer | Glendale, ArizonaBeware of your Paid Single Occupancy fees/outcome
I recently returned from a 10 days journey to Bavaria and, Austria (Salzburg and Vienna). I paid a large fee for single occupancy for the entire journey and was informed that I would be honored.
However, when arriving at Oberammergau for the Passion Play, I was informed at the hotel that there was a little-known clause that no one knows or was aware of that allows the tour manager and the facility/hotel that in this particular town/case, they will forego the single occupancy and put me with another person which by the way, had not paid single occupancy fee. I was offered a wooden cot with this mattress, a duvet, and a pillow. That was not acceptable. They did nothing to problem resolution.
I left the hotel and was able to find a truly stunning little hotel closer to the Passion Play site.
Trafalgar has done nothing to assist me and to offer any compensation. SO BEWARE OF SINGLE-OCCUPANCY AS THE TRAVEL COMPANY (Trafalgar) CAN AND WILL FOR THEIR BENEFIT CHANGE THE RULES WITHOUT ANY ADVANCE NOTICE.
- Overall very technical in process
- Company changes rules without informing you
Preferred solution: A full refund for the 2 nights at the other hotel.
User's recommendation: Avoid traveling with Trafalgar and Grand European Tours.

Still waiting for the primary company GET to fulfill their written obligation that they would repay the 237$. They wrote their response on July 6, 2022. As for Trafalgar, they passed the"buck" to GET and assumed no responsibility even though their tour manager lacked any problem resolution abilities.
